Classy Arts and Crafts

If you're looking for ways to keep your kids entertained this half term, then check out this great new website CultureLabel.com. Basically it's a portal site that allows visitors to buys gifts, art and souvenirs from a wide variety of UK galleries, museums, and designers. When Culture Label's Pippa Irvin suggested I try out some of their products, it was really hard to pick from their quirky and original children's range, which included everything from origami sets, to remote controlled dinosaurs, to wallpaper you can actually colour in (how cool is that?). Finally I narrowed it down to three items:

The Finger Printing Art Set is a simple, but adorable concept. You use the different coloured ink pads to make your fingerprint, them turn them into cute creatures by using the stamps and coloured pencils to draw in faces.

The Crystal Growing Tree is an old classic - just soak the cardboard trees in the provided solution, and by the next day the branches have sprouted bunches of spiky, frosty crystals. It's like a mini-science lesson in a box.

The 3-D Doodle Kit was a big hit with my partner. (I'm fairly sure that if these had been around when he was a kid, he'd never have finished school). You fit the blue and the red pencils into a special compass, which enables you to draw your picture in duplicate. Put on the supplied 3-D glasses, and your doodle suddenly pops out.

There are loads of great items to pick from, and they start from just £3.99, so there's something to suit every pocket.
